This course is for anyone new to Gun Ownership wanting to develop basic shooting fundamental and firearm safety skills.

Topics include, firearm knowledge, nomenclature, firearm operation, ammunition knowledge and the fundamentals of marksmanship.

There is a profound difference between learning how to shoot a gun vs. learning how to use a gun for self-defense.

This is NOT a defense course.

This is a three-hour class that covers proficiency and how to safely operate a handgun.

The tuition for this course is $100

* If you recently purchased a handgun from Bass Pro Shops in past 30 Days, this class is complementary (FREE).

This course is for anyone over the age of 12. Ages 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

• Safety as a skill

• Firearm nomenclature and handgun action types

• Ammunition knowledge

• Fundamentals of marksmanship for consistent shot placement  

• The difference between training and practice

• Firearm Disassembly and Reassembly

• Cleaning, Care and Maintenance 

After the Dry Practice portion of the course, there is a Cleaning, Care and Maintenance Workshop where you can learn how to disassemble, clean, lubricate and reassemble your firearm.
