NRA Pistol Phase II

The NRA Pistol Phase II course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for owning and operating a pistol safely.

More Details: This course is approximately 6-hours long with combined classroom and range. Students learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol nomenclature and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning, care & maintenance and continued opportunities for skill development.

PREREQUISITE and INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: The Blended Learning PHASE I must be completed online prior to attending the PHASE II course with us and the certificate of completion must be provided to your instructor.

NRA Pistol Phase I may take approximately 4 hours to complete and must be done on your own time by accessing this link.

NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!!!

Please bring the following:

A Good Learning Attitude

A Notepad, Pencils, Pens, Highlighters

Bring a minimum of 100 Cartridges of Ammunition

Bring a reliable handgun of your choice (either revolver OR semi-automatic)

Bring a minimum of two magazines for semi-auto’s or one speed loader for revolvers

You may bring a secondary handgun as a replacement if you have it

Bring a Lunch, Snacks and Drinks to keep you comfortable.

We will have 10 minute breaks throughout the day and a 30-minute lunch break.

If you are planning on taking any NRA Instructor Courses, The Next Step is to take the NRA B.I.T (Basic Instructor Training) and the NRA Pistol Instructor. The B.I.T. and NRA Pistol Instructor Course may be offered at the same time as this Phase II course. Please check the “Schedule”.
