NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home – PPITH

The NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.

PREREQUISITE and INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Student candidates must have taken a basic handgun course prior to taking the PPITH and must present their completed certificate to the instructor. This can be done by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification.

Another course that will show you demonstrating proficiency is the “Introduction To Defensive Handgun” course at HPP Training.

In addition, Students must complete and pass the PPITH Pre-Course Assessment

NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!!!

Please bring the following:

A Good Learning Attitude

A Notepad, Pencils, Pens & Highlighters

Bring a minimum of 150 Cartridges of Ammunition

Bring a reliable handgun of your choice (either revolver OR semi-automatic)

Bring a minimum of two magazines for semi-auto’s or one speed loader for revolvers

Bring Eye and Ear Protection (Electronic Hearing Protection if you have it)

You may bring a secondary handgun as a replacement if you have it

Bring a Lunch, Snacks and Drinks to keep you comfortable.

Please dress approriately for the range

We will have 10 minute breaks throughout the day and a 30-minute lunch break.

Course Tuition is $150. Range Fee NOT INCLUDED
